Editors Comment:
Escalating construction costs due to the impact from Covid-19
'On account of the volatile pandemic market there has been a significant cost increase to timber (including joinery), metalwork and steelwork. International shipping container rates have also escalated by up to 200%, raising the costs of imported products'. Detailed commentary for each Australian state can be found in the 2022 Handbook.
In celebration of the 40th and 30th milestone, Rawlinsons commissioned artwork from contemporary Aboriginal Artist, Renee Clifton, who currently resides on Noongar country.
Rawlinsons are honoured to display Renee's artwork on our special editions.
The artwork showcased on the Handbook is a reflection of Western Australia's magnificent coastline and, as a community, how many of us enjoy the ocean and how it brings us together.
The artwork showcased on the Cost Guide is a reflection on people uniting together in peace and mutual respect.
Rawlinsons (W.A.) acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land where we work and live, the Whadjuk people of the Noongar nation. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders of all communities who also work and live on this land.
