Rawlinsons was engaged by the Shire of Serpentine / Jarrahdale to carry out cost estimating services in preparation for the Development Contribution Plan annual review. This included estimating planned roadworks (7 total), intersections (17 total),associated paths and verges, district open spaces (2 total) with associated sports courts, wetland rehabilitation, rail crossing diversions, and related utilities diversions.
Over the past couple of years, the West Australian market has seen tremendous cost increases in the construction industry. Rawlinsons were able to accurately reflect the related cost increases in the estimates of this DCP to give the Shire the opportunity to budget for this and relay the necessary information to the Developers. Rawlinsons were able to relay all the afore mentioned in detail in their report and associated detailed breakdown of costs. This provided the Shire and the design team an opportunity to clarify the information and ensure all costs are reflective of the intended plans.
