The Eaton Library and Administration building is a newly completed administration and library building for the Shire of Dardanup in Eaton.
It is a two-storey construction that provides different facilities including: a library, open plan offices, private offices, children zones, council chambers, dining areas, meeting rooms, a lettable area, workshops, labs, toilets, and kitchens. As this project is an Environmentally Sustainable Design, it includes a timber structure, including wall framing, linings, and similar items.
Due to the bespoke construction of this building, the Shire chose a Design and Construct the procurement method contract where the Contractor was provided with preliminary designs and brief to further develop and construct. Furthermore, the Shire had set various design stages for this project to ensure all design is and costs were managed through Early Contractor Involvement (ECI).
Rawlinsons were involved from the tender analysis stage through to contract administration processing payment valuations and variations.
